I can’t believe it’s already October and the last blog I posted was in June. Well, what can I say? Not much is really going on in my world. Basically, running has taken over my life. I just started “dry for October” and I’ve already designated Fridays as “no fun Friday.” The marathon is in just over 1 month. 34 days to be exact. Yesterday I ran 4 miles and then did a 1/2 marathon in Central Park. Good times. Next weekend I’m doing my 20 mile run and then I’m starting to taper. Honestly, I can not believe how fast these last few months have gone by.
Halloween is just around the corner. I was going to be Rainbow Brite, but the costume was waayyyy too short so I sent it back. I’m 30 now, I can’t be wearing costumes that short anymore. I can still wear costumes that are short, just not THAT short. The shorts I bought to wear under the costume didn’t help make the situation any better.
It’s almost time for the mid-term elections. Nope, not telling you who I’m voting for…but I’m really sick of all the campaign commercials. Luckily, I watch most of my shows from my dvr so I can just fast forward through those obnoxious things.
I’ve been to quite a few concerts lately…my favorite band, Eli Young, was here last month. Roger Creager was here last weekend. Miranda Lambert was here with Josh Kelly and Eric Church a few days ago. The Rescues (they’re in a very close 2nd place to EYB, it’s possible they will knock them out of first place…stay tuned!) are going to be here next month AND so will Randy Rogers Band, Reckless Kelly and Robert Earl Keen. Let me tell you, that is going to be an amazing concert! Music is Life.
Well, that’s all folks!
